And did you take it?.....I did not and I was wrong, not to!,,,They did know best, in my case!.....What was the best advice did your Mother, or Father give you?
Mom: ';Believe in yourself, because nobody else will.';
Dad: ';To be cool, you need to be the exact opposite of everybody else.';
:-)What was the best advice did your Mother, or Father give you?
My father posed me with a question once that really stuck with me. It was back when I was frustrated with school.
He asked: ';What would you do if you were in a workplace?'; Well, I'd have to suck it up and bear it. Makes sense.
He asked me again when I told him I was having issues with a teacher. Told me that even if you don't like them, they're in charge, so you have to do what you're told.
Really, you can relate it to anything, work, friends, sometimes even professional relationships. I find myself asking, ';How would I handle this if I was in a workplace?'; quite a bit now. Guess it stuck with me.
Never do to others that you wouldn't like done to you.And may i add that if you live your life with that in mind,you become a better person.
Besides the usual things like good manners and politeness and never stealing lying cheating blah blah i will all ways take my dads advice ';never eat yellow snow';
To stay in school. No matter what. I'm 17 with a 6 day old daughter. I am a senior in high school and am finishing proudly. [=
dad to son use a condom
mom to daughter dont sleep around
I am sure I took some advice but just not sure what it was.
My mum always tells me to trust my instincts and myself as a person and to always be myself :) It's always helped me lol! :)
'If you ever get too deep into a hole don't dig any deeper!'
By that they mean If you get into trouble just agree them and don't answer back!
I'll stick to that from now on! Hope I helped! xox
Education is the key to life...
My father's words are priceless and have helped me achieve many goals in my life.
My thirst for knowledge continues and always will...
Mom: Never, never, ever-ever-ever, never trust a politician.
Dad: Never, never, ever-ever-ever, never vote for a Democrat. He will screw you every time. (How right he was.)
My parents taught me to respect others, and help the poor, give my seat to an elderly person on a bus. I have always followed their advice and thank them for it.
