Looking for a good pottie for my little boy, any ideas or advice would be great?

My daughter was obsessed with Elmo, so we got her an Elmo potty.......we put it in the bathroom about 2 months ago (we are nowhere near potty training....she is 21 months old) so she could get used to it. She loves it and knows it is her potty. I sit her on it before her bath while I run the water and she usually pees. she is not as into Elmo as she used to be, but she has grown attatched to her potty.

Whatever you get, put it out WAY before you are ready to use it so he can get used to it.....that way the potty itself is not longer a novelty when it comes time to start using it.Looking for a good pottie for my little boy, any ideas or advice would be great?
It helped my son to potty train standing up: not only did he want to be like his father, it also helped for him to see what was happening and connect the sensations. He used The Potty Stool http://www.thepottystool.com This stool makes every toilet kid-sized. He could easily stand at the toilet (or sit) safely and securely. My kids immediately climbed up on this stool and were very interested in using the toilet. I was shocked how easy potty training was for him.

The handles and sides make all the difference! My son and daughter felt very secure and the sides makes them feel comfortable and closed in when they use the toilet.

My kids like to use what they know mommy and daddy use. And it really is wonderful having your kids independently use the toilet on their own. The best thing is children use this stool for years. Hope this helps you.Looking for a good pottie for my little boy, any ideas or advice would be great?
We have the baby Bjorn potty(the larger one). It is pretty good and has rubber on the bottom to keep it from sliding.
I like the ';Fisher-Price Fun To Learn Potty';

The idea of having the removeable seat *that you put on the normal potty* makes it easier to go to the big boy potty. It also plays songs, there's words/phrases it says, flusing handle, toilet paper roller and so on.
Go on a site called baby's mind on google

and it has so much cute stuff

there is a potty with flowers printed

on

and you can get the Babb's name but on its

well cute
We have 2 different potty seats, one is the Fisher Price throne, it plays music when they pee and comes with a book, my son really liked it. Once he started going more frequently I bought a potty seat that goes on top of the toilet, it's less mess. He really liked that one too because it had Diego on it. I bought them both at Target. Good luck!
I really love the baby bjorn potty seat as well. It doesn't move on the toilet so they feel very secure and the shield is built in so they can't knock it into the toilet. It had the best reviews and I agree with them all. It also fits different style seats like the elongated ones and the round ones with just a little dial.

I had pretty good luck with skipping the actual ';potty chairs'; with my son it just made sense to teach him that it was the big boy way to do things the same way the adults do . Then you don't have to switch them over or have arguements about not going in any room of the house on the chair.

Best of luck
