My left breast is very swollen and sore to touch. I am not pregnant and the doctor says there is nothing wrong. My appointment was 4 days ago and my syptoms have worstened. I have had these syptoms now for almost 2 weeks now.My syptoms are ;
Sore, extremely swollen, tender, warm, and tight around the side's, My nipple is sensitive when water hits. Keep in mind this is only on my left breast. What could this be?I have abnormal pain in one breast, it's very sore, swollen and tender. Any advice on what this can be?

Possibly a contusion? Did you get hit in the left breast lately? Did the doctor order a mammogram (probably excruciating since you are already sore)? Maybe they could do an ultrasound instead? Possibly a blocked gland?
I know breast pain during and after your cycle is common. I would go back to the doctor and tell them the symptoms have worsened.
Mastitis...you have all the symptoms of a breast infection. Return to your Doctor for re-examination or to another Dr. for a second opinion. You will need medication. Don't wait! It just gets worse and more painful! KJL
