Advice to be a dog trainer?

I have been looking into possibly going to school to be a dog trainer or anything to do with dogs I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a school that isn't $9,000 to go to, or even ways that I would be able to follow my goal of having a job that has to do with animals that I will not have to work for free in order to possibly have a payed job in the next how many years. Thank you in advanceAdvice to be a dog trainer?
If you have a local Pets Mart or Petco around inquire there. They send you to school and pay for it. you usaually have to comit to staying there for a while in exchange for them sending you.. Or volunteer at a training center and shadow the traininer. Keep in mind though not all trainers are the same.Advice to be a dog trainer?
Go volunteer with a dog shelter or rescue. Any little bit of skill you have to help the homeless dogs get homes will benefit them and you. You will develop more skills and compile advise from other volunteers. There isn't much a school can do that experience can't override.

You don't have to volunteer forever and you don't have to volunteer forty hrs a week. You can get a real job somewhere with animals to increase your animal skills. Petstore, groomers checking in pets, shelter answering phones, even at a boarding facility cleaning up. ANy experience you can get go for it. My favorite would be dogie day camp!!!
