I'm going to be buying my first car soon and i need a little bit of advice...?

I don't have credit but i've gathered up my paycheck stubs so will i still be able to finance a car?

and i know you have to have insurance for the car before you can buy it, but how would that work, getting insurance for a car that is not yours? or do you get insurance when you are at the place you are buying the car from?I'm going to be buying my first car soon and i need a little bit of advice...?
they will run a credit check on you at dealership, but contact your bank first, %26amp; see if you could get the loan from them, %26amp; at what % rate. It could save you a great deal over the length of the loan.

If you have a insurance now, you could just call the insurance company after you make the deal, %26amp; add car to your policy. Otherwise you would have to contact an insurance company after you make the deal.

GOOD LUCK, %26amp; ENJOY THE CAR!!!!!!!!I'm going to be buying my first car soon and i need a little bit of advice...?
You will have a little trouble getting financing with no credit. Mostly likely the dealership will set you up with a lender that will require a decent downpayment. Just be cautious with your financing and do not get yourself into a long term high interest rate scenario. You will be backwards.

When you buy a vehicle, you will need insurance before you leave the lot. That is for your own good too. You will most likely need full coverage with 500 comp and 500 collission. The insurance company will ask you for the lein holder's information. They do this so that they can notify the lender if you drop the insurance. You will Own the vehicle but the lender looses if you wreck the vehicle without insurance. Also if you no other option but to do the longer term and higher rate, look into GAP insurance. That will cover the difference in the loan amount vs. actual value in case you get in an accident. Otherwise, you pay the difference.

Overall, make sure you choose a vehicle that holds it value. Make sure you do not over extend yourself simply because you want that car. THE BIG THING......if you are younger, get a quote from an insurance company before you commit to purchase. You insurance plus the car payment may be more than you can afford.
Ok some places will not let you finance a car if you have a score below 520 even if you have large down payment unless you get a co-signer. There is places called ';Buy here pay here'; which are car dealerships that finance you without credit but you have to put a big down payment and you have high interest quotes up to 21%. My advice is to get a co-signer because sometimes you dont even need a down payment for pretty much brand new cars. In the car dealership i worked they gave you free insurance for a week and after that you HAVE to get proof of insurance otherwise they will take the car back.
I think you can get a car insurance quote of the car you are planning to buy first, so you will have a idea how much it would cost ya... I will be a safe way to go.... BTW.. Have you deicide which cars to buy or lease? maybe this site can help you with ur decision. good luck :)

My house rabbit has managed to litter train himself to use my bed as his toilet. Any advice would be great!?

He uses both the bed in my bedroom and another bed in another room, meaning that he has now made all beds a place where he can go to the toilet, technically he is halfway to being litter trained I just need to make him swap the beds for the litter trays that I would like him to use. I have watched him and placed him in his litter tray every time he does use the bed as a toilet, but alas no luck so far!My house rabbit has managed to litter train himself to use my bed as his toilet. Any advice would be great!?
I've noticed over the years that rabbits have 2 quirky habits... peeing on pillows and chewing on wire cords.

Not all rabbits can be potty trained. Either they will do it or they won't. An easy way to get started is with their cage. They need a nice large cage. They don't like to pee where they sleep or eat, so they need a bed and food/water dish on one side of the cage and a litter box on the other side. If they use the litter pan, you are half way there. Then you can let your rabbit out for a short period of time near the cage for playtime. If he pees outside of the cage, put him back quickly in the litter pan. You can do this for longer and longer periods until he only uses the litter pan.

My rabbit lived all through the house with 2 dogs. He only went to his cage to eat %26amp; pee. I left it open all the time.

Hope this helps! My house rabbit has managed to litter train himself to use my bed as his toilet. Any advice would be great!?
where he goes to the bathroom at stick the litter box or if you see him going stick him in the litter box to teach him that is where he is suppose to go

What courses do you need to be an advice columnist?

I need help in picking my coursesWhat courses do you need to be an advice columnist?
Obviously very useful -lots of psychology, journalism, writing

Also: some sociology, some religious or cultural studies (makes you understand the questions more , since you understand people's background)

Could be useful- basics of education and teaching principles, if it's not too classroom oriented class, since they cover cognitive processes

Good luckWhat courses do you need to be an advice columnist?
Courses in Creative Writing, Journalism and psychology would be a great asset if you were looking to get an advice columnist position.

Should former televangelist Jim Bakker be giving medical advice on his new show?

I noticed earlier that he was trying to tell people to take a pill to survive a nuclear war.Shouldn't the Federal Government bust him?Hum..Wait,they have before.Should former televangelist Jim Bakker be giving medical advice on his new show?
no...he should not be giving advice, let alone be on tv at all.Should former televangelist Jim Bakker be giving medical advice on his new show?
Actually the fact that you watched his show should be the true crime here. As long as that man has money, he can tell you whatever he wants to. If the people are going to be dumb enough to listen to him for a second time, then they get what they deserve. They were dumb enough the first time to send him money for his ';church';, and they will be dumb enough again to fund his new ';get rich quick'; scheme. Look at the commercials on t.v. for all the medicines out there. Take a pill if you don't feel good, or can't get an errection, or don't want to be around people. The government is feeding you the load of crap and the american people are stupid enough to buy into it. I think before judging anyone on what they are doing, you should ask yourself why it matters to you. Are you concerned for the people, or the fact that you aren't making a profit as well? Thank you.
Sounds like supplements and they are not federally regulated.

What could this be can anyone give me advice?

What could this be can anyone give me advice?

  • Would anybody be willing to offer any advice for entering Harvard?

Being a Junior at the moment, it has always been my dream to end up there studying Environmental law and Psychology later. I am the kind of person who will not stop until the goal is accomplished, making realities happen. However, deep down I am scared to death- it's a what if I won't..thing. I am very determined and have two more years to prepare I suppose.

Any realistic humanitarian advice for the future?Would anybody be willing to offer any advice for entering Harvard?
Take the most difficult classes your school offers. It is a big deal for students to use the resources that are available to them. (If your school only has one AP class, for example, they don't fault you for that, but they want you to take it.)

It is better to be very involved in a few extracurricular activities that you are passionate about than ten clubs that you are only sort of involved in and pay dues for.

They want you to take initiative. Start something new or add a new dimension to an existing cause or club. Take a class at a local college through joint enrollment. Take the SAT several times to achieve a good score if you have a low one. Take an SAT prep class if you are not confident.

The bottom line is to differentiate yourself from other applicants. They get thousands of applications from people with good grades and scores who joined the honor society and the community service club at school. Go above and beyond. Community service is more important than having a part time job by the way.

The hardest thing about Harvard is getting in. Good luck! .

This stuff applies to getting in to any school really. Apply to more than one place! College is what you make of it. You can have a great experience at a lot of different places.Would anybody be willing to offer any advice for entering Harvard?
You can't go wrong with reading the classics of literature and philosophy. Math and Science competence will be needed in those fields as well. Study hard but also know when to rest. You have to learn to find that balance between pushing yourself and enjoying it. Please remember that its a marathon not a sprint and you wouldn't want to burn yourself out too soon.

My husband may be getting circumcised, any advice on how it will affect me if he does?

My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Will lovemaking feel different? i've heard you can tell the difference. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Well any answers/advice would help really. My husband may be getting circumcised, any advice on how it will affect me if he does?
he won't be able to service you for a month or soMy husband may be getting circumcised, any advice on how it will affect me if he does?
The man is the only one thats going to feel any different, however you're going to need to change how you use it for him, if you catch my meaning. Because he's going to be sensitive in different places than usual. Whereas the top is usually the un circumsised mans choice, youre going to have to be looking at the main thing, i.e. working on the rest.

Damn this is hard to explain without being vulgar. hehe.

You wont feel anything different though.
Have you considered the procedure? Women do have this done in some parts of the world. Have you discussed why he feels like having it done? Hope that he is not afraid to talk to you. If he does, just be supportive. Life delivers many ups and downs.
you wont have to skin it back any more.
My ex husband had it done when he was older too! He said it made him feel more sensitive and it was cleaner and heatheir than when he was not. I personally saw a big difference because he was big in the first place. It did make a difference when we made love because it seemed like it was smaller without that foreskin. That shouldnt make a difference if you love each other though, remember, size dont matter, its what you do with it it that does.
My first husband was not circumcised. My current husband is. I see no difference during love making. Esthetically and hygienically I prefer circumcised. (BTW - my husband had his circumcision done about 25 years ago. He's now 77.)
You'll probably notice the difference on your own
I don't know if you will feel the difference, but your husband certainly would. Over time your husbands penis will become desensitized and therefore when he makes love to you he will not become as aroused or stimulated as before because the skin has been use to being exposed and rubbed against (his underwear and pants. Uncircumcised men still have their foreskin protecting the head and when they have sex the foreskin rolls back exposong the head. that head is still sensitive to touch and i would guess they will have a better love making experience as a result. jmo.
I have been with both circ'd and an uncirc'd man. I could not personally tell the difference.

If he does do it, be prepared for some healing time. I know three men who were circ'd as adults and they were down for the count for a while.

They also mentioned that it was really difficult for them because men tend to think sexually most of the time and that is not good when your peep is needing to rest and relax for a while.

    hope this helps.

    best,

    cez
mine got circumcized at 27 and wasnt anywhere near as bad as he thought it would be,and was healed completely in 3 to 4 days.it wont affect you at all,nor will it affect him,in fact, its been proven to be healthier, cleaner, and less chances of getting cancer of the prostate.there will be absolutely no difference in feeling at all, none whatsoever.good luck to you both
I'm circumsized and it was the first time for my girl too. She says it 'looks' different (obviously), and it takes some time to get used to visually, but besides that, no difference!

If you could give one piece of advice to other teenagers, what would it be?

Just for reference to us all.:]If you could give one piece of advice to other teenagers, what would it be?
    - go buy a condom and carry it in your pocket at all times.

    - if you get a letter in the mail from vector wanting to ';hire'; you, throw it in the trash, it is a scam

oh and dont spend so much time dressing up and trying so hard to be someone you think someone will want, because when you find that person they will want to see you when your NOT dressed up and trying hard.If you could give one piece of advice to other teenagers, what would it be?
Wow, great question. It seems like most of the people answering this are STILL teenagers!

I would say...don't be so insecure. Like yourself. Don't be so self-conscious. Figure out who and what you want to be and just go for it.

ALSO, remind yourself all the time to keep your perspective. Things seem like the end of the world for someone who's young. A breakup. Or, a year seems like an eternity. As you get older, that changes and you get more perspective. It's easier to deal with the ups and downs because you've sort of been there, done that, and you know you'll get through it. I think that's what leads to a lot of teen suicide and other stupid, rash decisions.

Being a teen sucks. It is probably not going to be the ';best years of your life';. So don't worry about it if it sucks. College is pretty cool.
    1. Don't get pregnant

    2. If you do get pregnant, choose what is best for the baby: Keeping it or giving it for adoption

    3. Only keep it if you can give it lots of love %26amp; if you can afford it

    4. The baby dad does not help out ALL the time, so don't rely on him so much

    5. Stay in school if you have a baby
Listen to your parents, stay in school, don't have sex until you are older.

also, LIFE IS NOT THAT BAD!! get over your depression and cutting behaviours, there is more to life than being a sad teenager who cares what everyone else thinks. You'll be thankful when you grow up (if you hopefully haven't killed yourself yet)
    A. Don't get pregnant.

    B. If you get pregnant, stay in school.

    C. Go to college. It'll be paid for with grants.

    D. Don't depend on the baby daddy for anything.
Be yourself, regardless of what is the 'social norm'. Reach for the stars and never let anyone tell you, you can't do it. Inside everyone is the potential to change the world.
No matter what you do, don't follow my advice. I have no idea where I'm going or how to get there. Do your own thing as best you can and I wish you success.
stay focused and realize that what you do now will affect your future :)

that doesn't mean to not have fun, but you should always try hard in school. :]
Stay in school! Don't get pregnant! Treat others like you'd want to be treated! Be all you can be!

    That is all. :)
    Be yourself.

Don't let others push you around or judge you for something that is different between you and them.
Keep your innocence while you can.

    You'll miss it.
    don't drop out of school

    don't get pregnant

    have fun
dont cut. it will bite you in the butt later in lyfe
Don't fall for your best friend.
Don't give a DAMN what other people say.

Im moving in University halls of residances tomorrow. If you could give one piece of advice what would it be?

    Im a first year!

Im moving in University halls of residances tomorrow. If you could give one piece of advice what would it be?
Be considerate to your room mate and establish mutually agreed ground rules and boundaries. :0)Im moving in University halls of residances tomorrow. If you could give one piece of advice what would it be?
Hope you have built up a high alcohol tolerance level.
make friends with the residential assistant, it comes in handy when others are making too much noise, when you want to make noise and they can let you into all the odd rooms in the building. In my halls there was a room just filled with duvets, it made for a great party. We could also access the roof. Or you could become an RA yourself, you get paid just for being on duty, half the time you don't have to do anything.
Get your own room as soon as possible. I lived in residence halls three years and loved it, but I liked it a lot more the semesters when I had my own room. Dorm rooms are small anyway, and it is pretty hard to live in such cramped quarters with someone else, even someone you like. The two of you sometimes have different schedules, which makes sleeping difficult, and inevitably the other guy will sometimes leave his junk on your side of the room.

If you麓ve got to share a room, I just hope you find someone who is kind of like you: he likes to sleep as much or as little as you do, he is as messy or clean as you are, etc.

Have fun, though! It is a great time of life!

You're going through a phase. You'll be sick of her sooner than you think.

Advice how to think like a man, and still be a lady?

I know theres a book but I cant buy it,

Its hard being a woman and knowing that we act the way we at because of our chemistry. Any advice on how to Still be myself but force myself to think like a man so that I dont over react and be so sensative ie. guy doesnt call you and you call him with 3 or 4 voicemails instead of waiting for that one response?Advice how to think like a man, and still be a lady?
there are 3 things the average guy thinks of:

    sex

    sports

    beer

    a decent guy thinks about:

    a relationship

    sports

    good times

my advice is that you should just chill and be a little bit distant, not too atached, because most guys find that annoying hope I helped...Advice how to think like a man, and still be a lady?
Oooh girl, I do it all the time. I hate the thought of being that vulnerable girl waiting by the phone for the guy, while he's out with his buddies having a great time. There's this guy I really like, but he's really strange and wishy-washy.. so because he hasn't texted me, I have not texted him in 2 months.. only to say Happy Birthday back in June. I don't get a hold of him, I just totally leave him alone until he comes to me. The idea is to just live your life and make yourself happy and stop trying to find someone to make you happy. To a point, you have to not care. The more fun your having, the more guys are going to want to be around you. No guy wants the girl crying the corner. I'm sure even sure if my answer is relating to your question.. but this is just what I felt like talking about when it comes to this subject.. because i think about it often.
Just act like every day is your last - you'll say what you want w/o worrying who ur goin 2 offend %26amp; won't even think about it 2 seconds later. Women have all been trained to behave %26amp; act a certain way, I don't think it has any more than 5% to do with how women are made - so, don't be afraid of telling people what you want/expect. Don't get me wrong, man/ woman, everyone still should use their manners %26amp; say things with class (goes so much farther than if you cussed them out). I'm a woman, too %26amp; this is a good habit to start breaking into:)
Overcrowd your schedule with more important things to do and make very little one on one time for them. Careful, it could backfire because most men don't have that kind of attention span nor patience if they think that you're too unavailable. Use in moderation.
just be a lady in the day and a freak at night
    start with beer
3 or 4 voice mails is too much... maybe one, if any

hiya.. im starting at a new school and want to make a good impression its a grammar girls school. im scared and want some advice on how to be popular. and please dont say be yourself.I WaNnA be pOpULaR bUT HoW AnY AdVIcE?
Okay, I know how your feeling i was the new girl a few years backk now everyone in the school knows me and i would consider myself pretty popular so heres my reall advice from real experience.....

IT MAY SOUND WIERD BUT ITS THE HONEST TRUTH!

1.Dont really likke chill with people that look wierd or donnt seem likke they have popular/wierdd friends.

2.Dont type that wayy not to be mean but it makes you look wierd

3.Talk to everone in all of your clasess

    4. Be very talkative and nice, but dont let people walkk all over you

    5. THIS SOUNDS BADD BUT.....if your pretty the popular groups will gravitate to you and tallkk to yah

6.Do something people wouldnt expect you to do, something to standd out and trust me everyone trys to be friends with the knew kidd its like a little kid getting a new toy so if your pretty the popular people will come to you and if your not the prettiest person evver thenn....wierd people mayy come to you so if you want if you think your not the prettiest person you can send me a picture of you and i can give you some advice.

SORRY IF THIS THING MADDE ME SOUND LIKE A ***** IM JUST TRYING TO GIVE THE TRUTH LIKE YOU ASKED AND I KNOW WHEN SOMEONE KNEW COMES TO MY SCHOOL THESE ARE THE THINGS PEOPLE WILL JUDGE YOU ON!SORRY IF I OFFENDED ANYONE!HOPE THIS HELPS!I WaNnA be pOpULaR bUT HoW AnY AdVIcE?
First off, you need to be nice. I know that the movie ';Mean Girls'; show that the most popular girls are the meanest, but thats hollywood, not real world. I was very popular in high school, and trust me, you can be too.

Heres what you do, its simple:

    BE EVERYONES FRIEND. EVERYONE%26gt;

as soon as you feel like you're better than everyone else then you're just a *****... not popular.

Now heres the part that oprah and dr. phil wont tell you...

Go To Parties, HAVE FUN, if you funny and fun to be areound people will like you.

Be good at something, Wether its sports or music or just plain old school, excell at something. (it makes people respect you)

    Dont be shy, be outgoing.
    Ask questions and listen intently

when people talk with you. A good

    listener is ALWAYS popular. Don't

talk about yourself a lot. Let your new

friends tell you about themselves. Smile

at everybody and keep yourself tidy and

    looking clean.

You might be just the person those new

people have been waiting for... a friend

who accepts and listens to them. Oh,

and if you listen well to others they almost

always start asking you about yourself,

because they will want to know you better.
    Dear Love,

First off, we must rid you of the habit of typing like that. Secondly, when you enter your new school try to find out about clubs and social groups you can join. Do this the first week you are there. Make yourself as busy as possible with after-school interests and activities. You'll surely meet lots of people that way, maybe even a boy who fancies you!

Also, make sure you are friendly and approachable and helpful. This type of behaviour goes a long way.
Don't be popular. Unless you want to make other people's life a misery. If I'm not mistaken, that's what all of the ';popular'; people in my school do to me.
First start off by refraining from typing like that! I hope you don't talk like that too. HIYA....What the hell is that! Please stop that today and go forward from there!
Wear designer clothes and treat everyone like a beeotch.
Be yourself. There, I said it.

y not just be who you are Darling? Meaning, you are beautiful as you are. I've seen a picture of you and I think you put a link of how you look once.. Maybe I'm wrong. If so please forgive.

But just be you.. That's a beautiful thing.

If you could travel back in time ten years and give yourself a piece of advice, what would it be?

My only advice would be, to make sure the promise i made to the Creator, was verbaly accurate as i think SHE does not seem to understand fully what i meant. Then again im sure SHE does understand as what i see and hear every day shows me that from HER perspective SHE is on the right track, and is teaching me a valuable lesson in the complexity of intelligent life. ( I,m realy glad SHE has a sense of humor, otherwise we would all be in trouble and not just the ones who deserve it.)If you could travel back in time ten years and give yourself a piece of advice, what would it be?

I'd tell myself to not be surprised by the tough times ahead. I could try and convince myself to change every mistake and regret I've had in the past 10 years, but then some of the best things wouldn't have happened. Every mistake I made, every regret I have, has brought me to where I am and while it's a rough spot right now, I know it will be better.
today i am very confident, i needed that before ten years to avoid a disaster in my life...... Be confident,

Might be getting a new car (Advice please)?

I'm a college student and I currently own a 01 VW New Beetle. The car works fine but it needs a new paint job and some other things need to be fixed. Due to this I've been thinking of buying a new car, since I'm probably getting a job soon. I want a small SUV (a Jeep Patriot or a Mitsubishi Outlander), or a 07 Beetle. Of course I have to wait till I get the job first, but here's the question, should I sell my beetle if I get the job, or should I just paint it and keep it?Might be getting a new car (Advice please)?
    Just a college student !!

You have no idea about what is going to happen in your next 4 or 5 years!

in a couple of years you may start thinking to transfer to another college or move out from your parents house! then you need $$$$ !

I had the same exact situation 2 years ago when I was thinking to upgrade my 99 Jetta to a 2005 Golf/Jetta. Now I am glad that I didn't bought the car!Might be getting a new car (Advice please)?
I guess it depends on if you can afford a new car. If you do paint it and keep it, you might end up running into more problems as the car get older.
Peach, I ran into a similar dilemna when I had a 1990 Mitsubishi Gallant (many many years ago). I was thinking about selling it too, but in the end, I chose to repaint it, and got about another 50,000 miles out of the car.

If the car is running fine, I would keep it until the maintenance costs make it impractical. Don't forget you will have a lot of extra living expenses once you leave college. Get a sense of your average monthly costs before you move forward with a sizable purchase such as this one. And don't buy new...look for a car with 10K to 15K miles. You'll always get a better price, and lower insurance too.
Save the dough and just drive it.
    Keep the Car.

Cars are nothing but over priced toys and status symbols.
jeez, how do you have such nice things in college? I had a rust bucket blazer. Anyway, I was shocked when I got out on my own a few years back. by the time i paid rent, utilities, taxes, food, etc., i did not have enough money left over to buy a car until after my first raise. i thought with 45k/yr i woul be able to get something nice. it didnt happen. my regret is buying a car as soon as i thoguht i could afford it. i had debt from school and other things that happened, and I could have used that money to get clear. they say they won't, but i borrowed up to my ability to pay, and had nothing left over. be careful!
i would not worry about the paint fix any thing mechanical/structial and wait for a while till you have more funds available, the paint doesnt affect the drive,if you buy an suv make sure you buy a diesel.
u should get a toyota yaris.

really good car and really affordable..
THE CAR RUN GOOD AS YOU HAVE STATED, NEEDS SOME WORK AND A PAINT JOB.

THE JOB IS A MAYBE BUT NOT SURE.

REPAIR THE CAR AND REPAINT IT, KEEP IT FOR A LITTLE LONGER SAVE UP MORE MONEY AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU SECURE YOUR JOB AND IT WORKS OUT FOR YOU.

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A GOOD HEAD ON YOUR SHOULDERS AND THERE IS NO POINT IN GETTING INTO SOMETHING THAT MIGHT NOT PAN OUT.

There is nothing wrong with being clingy...you just need to be with someone who is also the same. Dont ever change YOURSELF in a relationship. If your partner is thinking that cahanging someone is so great...let THEM be the one to act differently. Many women love affection and attention.

So to be Small business owners Advice Please?

I am looking for advice. I am about to go into business for myself. To be honnest i'm trying to rebuild my fathers Leather company. It made very good products. Sold very well but my father pretty much gave up on it but not for lack of income potential but for lack of motavation. He ran it for 20 years with good success but over the last 5 years he has let it go. It is also a company with a bit of a learning curve. My question is for small business people what created your success and what advice do you have for me? Thanks for your time I know how important it is to you.

for the abusers/point freaks if I see one word or one sentence answers I will report it as abuse i'm tired of asking serious questions and getting answers that have nothing to do with the question. Thanks to all that put in the time.So to be Small business owners Advice Please?
Get out there and sell it. It is the only way to make money if you have none. make cold calls, call everyone in your fathers Rolodex, database. Know the business, backwards and forwards. Ask yourself questions and have answers for all of them. Why should I buy your product? Are you cheaper? Better? Faster? Easier to work with? Your fulfillment is second to none? Whatever your answers are, make sure you can back them up 100%. Unless you are retail, advertising is pretty pointless and expensive. Since you are a manufacturer, do shows, every show, bring your products, get peoples business cards and call them and hound them. Cold calling will get you business. Meet people in your industry. Invite them to look at your products, invite yourself to show them your products. Have a business card at the ready and get theirs so you can call them to set up a meeting. If you get the meeting you have a chance. You don't have a chance unless you are rich or make something no one else does. Cold Call! Set up meetings! Show your stuff! Get people to think about you and your products. Know every answer to every question they ask and be able to have solutions for any problem. How much? How many? How fast? Know your answers and be prepared to back them all up! Then you are in business. Most businesses fail because of lack of money. Have money saved, 4 times what you think. If you have a family, be prepared to give up everything. It is a dangerous thing owning your own business. Money, time, stress, can pay off if you keep at it. You got to hustle! Good luck.

  • I have to bake my son's wedding cake for next friday. this will be my first teired cake. any advice?

of course i want it to be perfect. any good bakers out there that may have advice for me? the wedding is friday. i'm thinking of doing a practice one first. please help with any advice!I have to bake my son's wedding cake for next friday. this will be my first teired cake. any advice?
It can be easier than you think. It can be also be more disastrous than you want. My first and most important piece of advice:

DON'T TRY TO BE TOO ADVENTEROUS THE FIRST TIME OUT!

Many decorators try too hard to impress, and they either lose the cake in overdecorating or underestimate the importance of structure for what they're trying to do.

So to begin with - choose the construction method. Stacked, pillars, floating... you can get any of the construction items you need at a GOOD craft store or at a cake decor shop. Just ensure it is STABLE!

Next - the people at the cake decor shops can be your best friend. They have a wealth of knowledge about cakes and decorating but also about how to do it cost effectively.

For your fist time, choose simple decor. Not alot of swirls, and fancy piping. I would go with fresh flowers for a simple elegance. If you do choose fresh flowers, be sure to buy them where the florist can testify they have can be used safely so you don't poison the guests unintentionally. (I'll leave the intentional options to you :-) Just kidding...

Yo can mimic the look of rolled fondant, which is very popular right now, by misting the frosted cake very lightly, and smoothing out the icing. To get the corners, use a peice of parchment to follow the curve of the upper edge to get a naturally curved contour. This might take practice though. Otherwise, piping a simple shell can be very forgiving too. Then when you place your flowers, put them over the parts that need forgiveness the most.

If you choose the stakced method, you can cascade flowers from one tier to the next and cover a whole lot of area and errors.

Look up Wilton on the I-Net. Lots of ideas, and instructions. Good luck. Decorating is very fun and an excellent creative outlet.I have to bake my son's wedding cake for next friday. this will be my first teired cake. any advice?
You might want to get a set of graduated layer pans. If it's more than 3 layers, you should get cardboard to set each layer on, with plastic columns between them. You can buy fondant at a craft store that sells cake decorating supplies, or just do it in a whipped cream frosting (easier and tastes better). Refrigerate the layers before you frost them; that makes it much easier. Brush off all the crumbs, and do a light layer of frosting and let it set about 10 min (to seal the crumbs in), then frost all over. If you're only doing 2 or 3 layers, make sure you set the top layer on upside-down, so you have a smooth surface on top.... Put strips of waxed paper or foil under the edges of the cake before you ice it. Then, when you're done, gently slide them out (to protect the plate from icing drips) ....... Good luck!
For a wedding cake, you should have started the final one by now! It's definitely not a one-day job. All I can suggest is use a tested recipe and don't mess with the amounts, wrap the layers well in cling wrap before assembly, make a ';soaking'; simple syrup for brushing on the layers, crumb coat with buttercream and chill it before the final frost, and if you use fondant keep it out of the fridge but in a lidded container like a cake dome.
Yes, do a practice one first. If you make a mistake with the tiers, you will have a ruined cake for the wedding otherwise. You can go into a grocery store bakery that makes wedding cakes and ask them. They are usually much more helpful than a private wedding cake baker.
Recently I have been interested in cakes too. I found myself watching Video's on youtube. Sometimes if you can actually watch someone it is better then reading it. So I would say go to youtube and type in the search for what your interesting in learning and different tips... Most of them are pretty good teachers.
ya you should do a practice cake first also try to pick up a book on how to make weeding cakes that might help you out a little more.

have fun with making it and don't stress out over it
get some cardboard and cut circles to match the bottom of each tier. , this will give it strength and keep it from tipping. other than that, have fun.
Definitely do a practice cake first! Tiered cakes are a lot more difficult than they look. The best advice I can give is to use dowels, separator plates, and a firm cake! Good luck!!!!
Make your that the are balanced. Also get the corrected flat knife to smooth the icing.
try makind some before next Friday, so it won't be your first then, sort of training

Taking a girl out who wants to be a cop, any advice?

I want to make the date interesting and fit to what she likes. Is there any cool things off duty officers like to do that relates with their job. preferring something later after 9 or so..Taking a girl out who wants to be a cop, any advice?
Just don't do anything illegal and don't piss her off! hahahaha

Try going somewhere that does not relate to her job. I am sure she has other interests and would like to enjoy knowing what yours are and getting away from her job. That is a stressful job..what makes you think they want to live it 24/7?Taking a girl out who wants to be a cop, any advice?
Cops like the same thing as everyone else I want to be a cop to and if a guy took me out I would probably want to go see a movie (I like action movies and chick flicks) I would also like to go to the mall or out to eat. If I was you I would ask her what she prefers because everyone is different.

    Good Luck
Cops are people- people are different- ask her what she wants to do. Most off duty cops don't want to do things off duty that relate to their jobs- they need a break
    Seek professional help immediately!
She is still a girl right? Maybe treat her like one and not something she is going to become.
ask her to bring the handcuffs, you'll bring the baton
Don't get rip-roaring drunk and insist on driving her home.
    Take her to Dunkn' Donuts
    they like raw meat
take her to a shooting range

Hello, I am a teenage and this summer i will be working with children with autism can anyone give me advice?

Yes, some of them show their affection by kicking and biting the hell out of you - but underneath all that, they really are a lovely bunch and you will miss them more than you can imagine when you leave your placement, even though they pushed your patience further than you ever thought it could go. Their energy and enthusiasm, allbeit a distant, detatched one is contagious and you just can't help liking them if you work with them long enough and it really opens your eyes.Hello, I am a teenage and this summer i will be working with children with autism can anyone give me advice?
Be patient, loving, reassuring, and comforting to the kids. Also remember that they almost always think logically, not emotionally, even if their logic isn't exactly perfect. Oh and if they're up to it, get them to interact with each other, even though most Autistic kids resent it they NEED to build social skills, and plus socializing can actually make some of the Autism symptoms lessen or disappear (really) as the mind has to adapt.Hello, I am a teenage and this summer i will be working with children with autism can anyone give me advice?
Defanatley patients and understanding they aren't normal kids. Their skills will all probably be different, and some may bite, kick, or scratch, but there is some reason for their set off. Most autistic kids have set routines and when they are forced to do things that aren't in their specific schedule, they tend to have a melt down, and breaking their routine can be one of the hardest things. With it being a summer program, they will be used to their school routine, dealing with that will be challenging. Sometimes it's better to allow them to ';freak out'; as long as they aren't a danger to others or themselves. They love different kinds of ';sensory'; items, such as shaving creme, jello, pudding, etc.. And as other kids, always have them working toward something. They can be really sweet, lovable kids though. It can just take some time getting used to how they act and understand how they learn. Don't let others scare you either... Good Luck!
    lol@first answer.

    1. They need routine and predictability.

    2. They will take things literally, any figures of speech or metaphorical speech may confuse them.

    3. They may have difficulty following verbal instructions: break things down into small steps.

    4. What organisational skills?

    5. They aren't being rude on purpose; if they are rude, don't get mad, just explain what they did wrong, even if it seems obvious to you.

    6. Their senses are often miswired: if they say that some sensory input hurts, believe them, even if you don't think it's possible to be bothered by it.
You need a lot of patience.

They need things to be predictable. There needs to be some structure that is followed every day. They generally dislike breaking the routine. If there must be some change it is necessary to prepare them for it in advance.

If they're having a meltdown or throwing a tantrum it sometimes works to talk about their special interest.

Autism is a spectrum, so each child can be very different from the next one. With time you'll probably get to know each child's needs a bit better.
Be careful. Sometimes people with autism can have outbursts and kick and punch for no reason. My sister in law taught kids with autism for years and she would come home daily with bruises on her legs from the austim kids kicking her. They didnt know what they were doing. So be careful. Doesnt always happen but it can so step back if they start kicking and hitting for no reason.
Try to be patient with them. I am currently helping a kid my same age who is autistic and learns slower. Remember to try and talk in an understanding calm sweetish way so they feel comfortable. Also try to comprimize when sometihng they dont like comes up. for instance, they dont like the activity ur doing. tell them this is was planned and he/she does it then they get something afterward. Whatever ur reward is. stickers etc.
Check out section 12, on autism, and section 83, on vaccines, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris Enter AUTISM in the searchbar, at http://www.mercola.com
I'm sorry i dont know what an autism is but if i did then i dunno but try to make the best outta the worst i suppose and have funn the summer will go by fast
    Have patience.

And try to understand their mind-state.

It will be a serious test for you, but you need to remember that the situation is most likely harder for them than it is for you.
This may sound crazy, but a friend of mine has an autistic child and she swears that wearing red lipstick helps establish contact.
Don't let them drive a car no matter how much they insist they are a very good driver.
Lots of patience and understanding, but don't give in. Be stern and let them know who's boss.
    OOoooo... Go in hockey gear.

    Trust me.

I need some advice on green-living...How could dryer lint be reused?

put it in a mesh bag (like the kind that oranges are sold in) and hang it outside. Birds and mice use it for nesting material.I need some advice on green-living...How could dryer lint be reused?
    make a wig lol

or don't use a dryer, then you wouldn't have lint :P

my parents started limiting the dryer use to just getting out the wrinkles in cloths after drying on a cloths line and they saved $100 bucks a month on the electricity bill!

with that money saved, you can go on a $1200 shopping spree at the end of the year...hmmm, maybe you can use all of that every boxing day :PI need some advice on green-living...How could dryer lint be reused?
I have a old pot belly wood stove in my family room and I use the dryer lint to help me get my fire going, believe me, it works.
    Lint- is negligible.

If you want to make a bigger contribution, put up a clothes line or at the very least, hang your jeans up on hangers and let them air-dry from the shower curtain rod.
there's a lady here in Va.Beach that does artwork out of it. People around the nation try and send her different kinds of dryer lint with different colors. The Virginia Pilot did an article on her last year.
i give mine to the squirrels , but you could stuff it into pillow cases and make your own pillows too. and if you've washed something really linty ,

why you practically have ready made earmuffs, already.
You could save it up and add water to make a paste out of it and shape it into all sorts of things, let it dry and paint it.
    Candles. Re-Stuffing old winter jackets.
It makes a great fire starter for campfires or barbecues!
hang your clothes on the line, no lint...voila!!
I give mine to the birds for their nests...
make a stuffed animal thingys with it .. or a cushion!
fashion some panties ot of it

I am thinking of picking up photography and need some advice what SLR camera would be good for a biginner.?

You need to get an affordable camera that you like. Generally that's (in no particular order)

    the Nikon D40

    the Nikon D40x

    the Canon Digital Rebel XTi

    the Pentax K100D

If your budget is tight the Pentax K100D can be found for $445 with a lens. If you have a little more money, go for the Nikon D40. The Nikon D40x and Canon Digital Rebel XTi are a bit more in price than the D40.

Go into a real camera store and physically handle these cameras. In a few seconds, you'll know which camera feels ';right'; to you. See if the buttons make sense to you. Are they in the right places? Does the menu seem logical? How does the fit/finish/quality of the camera feel to you? Pick the camera that feels right in your hand.

I would say to not go into it. If you're just looking for something ';sexual,'; I doubt they would be interested -- especially if you're just friends.

No, it's not more painful. It may take a little while longer to heal inside. I had mine done when i had my 3rd son in nov. 99--best decision i made. I'm realizing I'm never going to be all that important. I'm a little disappointed, advice?

People have such high hopes for me and I don't think I'm ever going to get there.I'm realizing I'm never going to be all that important. I'm a little disappointed, advice?
    awe, your very important, somehow.

i mean, geeze, i was just a Theoretical Physicist!

now, im bashing aliens with Crowbars left and right!

****, ive saved the planet 3 times now!

youll do alright, kiddo.I'm realizing I'm never going to be all that important. I'm a little disappointed, advice?
Well...importance is as slippery as wealth. What matters is that you are contented with your life and you can always manage that, no matter what your situation is. You may not become a Prime Minister of the country, but then you can always pay attention to the smallest needs of those around you and use opportunities to make an impact for good.

By the way, if you don't have the will to do something you will never do that. I know I have never been slim and trim in my life and may never be so, but that's just because I have never made serious efforts for it. Think about it.
Don't worry about what other peoples hopes are for you, just do you...Find something you want to do and stick to it, it's simple... I guarantee you that if you shoot for the top then you will be successful...but it doesn't happen if you if you expect to be at McDonalds all your life... You have to work at something to become good at it...Nobody is all that important if you think about it...If President Barrack Obama was never born there would always be some to take his spot...Just don't worry about others and do whatever you feel you need to do to become SUCCESSFUL not IMPORTANT.

    Good Luck :)
Well, you can join the nearly 7 billion others of us who are as equally unimportant.

Fret not. It's a rather festive group.
Being important is highly overrated. Consider this: if you feel this way, most of the world feels the same way. Want to be truly fufilled in life? Make the person next to you feel that THEY are important. You will never have a wasted day. Alot of people, ALOT of people, just need a kind word.
If you give up on yourself, then you'll automatically fail even before you begin.

No one said life was easy. But you need to try.
If you got to a position where everyone was impressed with you you'd still be disappointed ... take the psychological glitch from your childhood and dump it where it belongs ...sounds like stupid pride and ego massaging .. get over it .
Pick your own aspirations. No one ever lives up to someone else s expectations.I have high hopes that you will achieve your dream not mine or anyone else.Keep the faith and do not lose focus on what is important to you. Nothing worthwhile is ever cheap or easy.
Jesus loves you. When you're with Jesus, you always succeed.
I feel you man. Don't worry so much though... I mean, just how many really important people do we need? I've found the more important you ';think'; you are, the less you actually are anyway, so just live your life the best way you can to make yourself happy - I'm sure you'll always be important to someone! After all, isn't life about being happy? Why worry about what other people think... they're not you!

    Chin up bucko! :)
You are important to God. He will help you discover your purpose
You don't have to be important, only relevant.
WHOA I thought that I am the only that has felt that way. I am half blind since birth but was always top of my class. Now I have graduated high-school and found out that I just cannot make it through college because I am just not fast enough of a learner. I can't drive, I just can't accomplish many tassks that my sighted friends can. How am I supposed to be productive and worth anything. One of my most important goals my whole life was to help others with my wealth and resources. Well it's shot down. good question.
Maybe this will cheer you up.

When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains,

And the women come out to cut up what remains,

Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains

An' go to your Gawd like a soldier.

    -Rudyard Kipling-
Negative thinking will be a sure thing that you will never get anywhere but where you are now. Staying positive and focused leads to success. The potential for success is within yourself. Don't forget that. Also, success depends on how bad you want it.
That's OK. It's lonely at the top (so I hear).

Remember, God loves you. Read Proverbs in the Bible; also the gospels and Acts 16:31.
My friend , The highest hope that any person on earth can ever have , is to be a child of God and brother of Jesus. To live in peace and harmony with yourself , the world out there and God's beautiful creation. I was there , and reached the top of my ambitious ladder , and once there found emptiness and inner loneliness which is indescribable . I was the top dog to society out there , but a puppy to the great worlds of the spirit.Only in Christ did I find what I was seeking for many years, that had gone by.In Christ my complete outlook of life changed , and the world around me did not matter anymore or what people thought or said. They could not offer me a life after death , nor the peace and tranquility I searched for so desperately. If you have accepted Christ into your life , you will get anywhere you want to be , according to His will for your life. The bible teaches us '; I would that you will prosper , as your soul prospers '; It is His will for us to do well in spirit and in body.So my friend just hang in there and believe in Jesus Christ and in yourself, as a child of God and you will rise to heights that no man can imagine. It is all in the state of your mind with the help of Christ.
First, how old are you? If you are under fifty, there's still plenty of time to be important in a great many ways. In your profession, all it would take is one really good idea which is carried out and not simply wished.

Second, important to whom? To the whole world, probably not. To your own nation, perhaps not known, but important in doing your share on something which is important. To your own town, there's certainly no reason why not. To your own family, you undoubtedly already are.

The people who have such high hopes for you have some reason for those high hopes. Delve into what their reasons are, and whether they are reasons that are important to you, too. Perhaps you are mistaking fame for importance. Fame is a relatively unimportant thing in most cases. Yes, as a performer or a politician, fame is significant. In most other instances, it is largely irrelevant, or happens posthumously. Many fine artists and other creative people were not recognized for their talent until after they died. In science and technology, too, it is often the case that one pivotal discovery or invention is not seen for the significance it has until much later, when others have built upon its foundation.

Just go ahead and do your best at what is important to you, and forget about fame or recognition.
start doing what ';you'; think is exciting and full of life. become the best at what you love and you will stand beside kings.
Do not live your life the way others want. If you do than who will be you?

Follow the path that you want to walk. It's your life!

It doesn't matter if you are important to others. What matters is that you are important to you!
    so 3 trees were talking...

the 1st one said he wanted to be a beautiful box to hold the best treasure ever!

the 2nd one said he wanted to be the biggest boat and strongest boat ever build!

the 3rd one said he wanted ppl to look at him and think of God

so years later they grow and they are chopped.

the 1st one becomes a box where animals eat from, he's sad...

the 2nd one becomes a small boat, he's sad...

the 3rd one is just cut into pieces, he's sad...

well, along come mary and joseph and Jesus was born in a manger, the 1st tree realizes he is holding the best treasure ever!

years later, Jesus gets on a boat with His disciples, falls asleep during a huge storm and the 2nd tree thinks, oh im not strong enough to keep these ppl save, but Jesus wakes up and calms the storm. the 2nd tree realizes he is carrying the King of kings!

time later, the 3rd tree gets picked up and is holding a man...blood is all over, the tree feels dirty and feels they are being rude to Jesus...he feels guilty because he is the one holding Jesus for crucifixion...but on the third day when Jesus resurrects, the tree realizes that when ppl see him ( the cross ) they will think of God
    Do you have the same aspirations they have for you? If not, don't worry. Do what makes you happy. If being important will make you happy, figure out something to do that will make you important. First, you have to define ';important.';
You are important to the creator and therefore to me.

Eat drink and be full of joy!

    It works for me!!!!
You have be the best that you CAN be for YOURSELF. So long as you try YOUR best and impress YOURSELF, no one else should matter.

Hope this helps!Need to Advice and Tips for looking for a NY apartment. I don't want to be scammed, but I need to find a place
you can hire a realtor who knows the market and who can find a match for you, but they charge sometimes 15% of the annual rent. i prefer no fee rentals in buildings listed by property management companies. other than those sites that you have listed you can check nybits.com http://www.nybits.com/search/ - it is specialized for no fee apartments in NY. Now, few tips i can think of money-wise be aware that some managers want first and last rent a priori. and credit background check. if you are on a tight budget or have credit troubles consider looking for roommates. also, check reviews about the building like for example if it is listed at the bedbugs registry http://bedbugregistry.com/ . If you are a student, the first place to go is the university's affordable housing department - they can have some good budget places. Hope this helps.

If you feel strong how u are, believe me there 's no need to gain weight cause once u get it u can't get it off !!! If u wanna be healthy, don't eat lots of sweets, drink lots of water (only water if u can 1litre everyday) and eat protain like chicken and tuna, and have fruit and vegetablesI'm almost 19 and I'm only 50 kg. I need help gaining weight and other advice on how to be a bit healthier?
Eat. Try eating McDonald's at least once every other day for a couple of months. That will add 10-15 pounds quick. Also, forget about salads and focus on red meats. Furthermore, quit playing sports and find a comfortable spot on your couch.

Follow this plan for a couple of years and you'll be a lardass before you know it!
Increase your calories. Have an extra slice of bread, eat DRIED FRUIT (that's great for putting on healthy weight), eat plenty of white meat (chicken and fish), not as much red meat but just eat extra portions of them all.
ummm eat high calorie healthy food like whole grain breads and eat peanut butter, avacado, bananas and lots of nuts

they have good fat in them :)
you dont need to gain weight o_O

my boss told me that i might loose my job because the is no clients coming me and the whole thing is affecting me inside i will be working as temporarly employee until last year end of january please guys any advice it will helpThis morning when i arrived at work my boss told me the sad news.anyone for advice please i need to be strong.
Get off answers and do some workThis morning when i arrived at work my boss told me the sad news.anyone for advice please i need to be strong.
The reasons given when a boss sacks an employee are rarely either the whole reason or the real reason.

What is your job? Estate Agency? Sales? Cold Calling?

    Think outside the box.

Work out why clients are not coming to you.

Are you working on a client list someone else has given to you?

Are you last in line when a call comes in?

You need to get pro-active. Find your own clients. Use your ';life'; as a means to an end. Everyone you meet is a potential client. Talk up your company outside work - to everyone. If you don't have business cards - with YOUR name on them - get some made up, then hand them out to EVERYONE you meet, strangers included. You shop don't you? Well talk to the people in the queues at the till. Do you have children? Well talk to your fellow parents and the teachers.

In a job like yours, you CANNOT be an island, you have to take the risk and open yourself up to the world.

You are going to have to work incredibly hard to turn this around in a short time.
    Holiday !!!
The job market's pretty strong. If you want to work, I bet there will be plenty of people who'll hire you.

You might want to try to get a new job while you've still got the old one. Not very stressful that way.
can you think of a way to draw customers in?
Well idont know what to really say.......try to work a little bit harder an see if it works out. try to have a 1 an 1 talk with your boss to see what u need to work on an what u dont. Try to interact more with people an all probly it might help.
Wow... I think if my career were on the line the last place I would be seeking advice would be on yahoo answers. Talk to a headhunter, but here??? No way!

There's a lot more information needed for any sound advice anyway. If you just want encouragement then go for it and save your job. Do whatever it takes. It would help to know what you do.
The writing on the wall is there. So you should start to prepare yourself for the inevitable. At least your boss is kind enough to give you warning.

Your feelings are normal. Our jobs give us security. So you need to start looking now for something new. It's even scarier now since we are coming into December and companies tend to tighten their hiring coming up to the holidays. The good thing is that in January everything opens up. Put your resume out on the job boards, start networking with people in your industry. I don't know what industry you are in so it's hard to advise you who to network with. Start looking in the paper for job advertisements. You need to move quickly, because if you have bills to pay, then you can't afford any downtime.

This is part of life learning experience, so you need to mobilize now, put the depression feelings aside and have a goal in mind. Good Luck!
whats you job? it sounds like sales. If I know what you sale I can give you some advice.

But you have to remember you either sale or you dont. Take the top 5 sales people in used cars, mortgages, real estate, insurance.

Make them all switch jobs they will all be the top 5 people in what you pick. If you cant do sales, get out of it.

If its something else give us more info. I will check back.
    Hello Lydia,

It is always sad to hear of someone losing their job because of no work coming in, especially work they really enjoy doing.

Although probably not easy, try not to be too downhearted and try to enjoy what little time you have left with the company.

In the meantime, I would suggest that you start looking for other employment. There is an old saying which I do believe is true,

'It is easier to find employment when you are already employed'

I feel sure that you will find other employment, but talk to you boss and ask him to allow you time off your work to attend any interviews for another job you may apply for and also ask him/her to release you early if you are successful in finding other work before the end of January.

I feel sure your current boss will understand and be prepared to allow you to do this.

One other thing to remember. If you have been with the company for at least two years you should investigate whether you are entitled to a redundancy payment.

Your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) or the Advisory Conciliation %26amp; Arbitration Service (ACAS) will be able to advise you about this. Both these are free and confidential services.

You will need to contact ACAS by phone or letter as they do nor accept emails.

    ACAS website is:

    http://www.acas.org.uk/index.aspx?articl鈥?/a>

I hope this has been of some help to you and that you soon find new employment that you enjoy.

Get a new job. start looking. Its your life take charge, now.
    Find a new job!
As one door shuts you will find anotherone opening. Thats the way of the world my mate, it's called living. Start having a look around you will find another job and this time try to find a more stable company. A%26gt;T%26gt;Best
Whatever you do, DO NOT give your notice in until you have secured another job otherwise you would lose all benefits if you end up out of work. Try the local papers and job centres and hassle their staff to get you interviews. 2008 is going to be a really bad year for business in the UK and we have seen this coming for a couple of years, retailers are already struggling, banks are shedding staff quietly and the building industry is at an all time low. Whatever you choose to do, do it well and work hard. Good luck.

Need advice on bringing my 15 lb jack russell onto a flight with me...can it be easy?? which airline is best??

Each airline has its own rules. For example, Southwest Airlines prohibits pets except for guide dogs.

Some allow you to bring small pets in the passenger cabin as long as the carrier fits under the seat. Most airlines that allow this restrict pets to two per flight (one per passenger) so you need to get your reservation in early.

Other airlines require pets to go in the baggage compartment. The cargo hold is climate controlled so there is no risk to your pet.

You'll have to call the airlines and ask what their current policies are as they do tend to change. Some routes prohibit pets completely even though the airline may permit them on other routes. This is usually due to local restrictions against any pets in terminal buildings.Need advice on bringing my 15 lb jack russell onto a flight with me...can it be easy?? which airline is best??

I am going to be buying my first car soon, a used one and I need advice on what to look for.?

Also, I live on the West Coast of B.C., no snow or salt on the roads to worry about.I am going to be buying my first car soon, a used one and I need advice on what to look for.?
cars are rated from 1-10 on break down rates and cost of break downs on average.

If you search for a car you can find the rated number on web sites.. do a search engine..

a basic run down of rated cars..

toyota, lexus(which is a toyota) is rated on average a 3 or 4

some american made like chevy or ford range from 4 to 6 depending on the make and model.

your classic money pits are jaguars, cadilacs, bmw's and range rovers those vehicles are rated on average an 8 the higher the number the more money you will spend and the more problems you could have...

If you want a low rated vehicle try Honda or toyota firstI am going to be buying my first car soon, a used one and I need advice on what to look for.?
Get a Toyota. Most reliable and best value.
The best advice that I can give you is that once you find one you like, have a trusted mechanic perform an inspection on it. You don't want to buy someone elses junk.
Well, you can't go wrong with a Ford Focus

I'm scared I won't be able to find a part-time job soon. Any Advice?

Any advice would be amazing 10 points best answer?

There is a girl i like in one of my classes. We are friends but i really want to get to know her more. I've liked her for a while but she has a boyfriend. I have thought about whether i should tell her while she is dating him or not.

Should i tell her while she is dating him or should i wait til they break up?

I'm a junior in high school and so is she. The guy she is dating is a senior btwAny advice would be amazing 10 points best answer?
That sucks buddy. I know how you feel. Since the guy is older you should wait till they break up. But if you start flirting with her when she is alone she might start to like you and relieze how nice of a guy you are. There is a chance that could break up her old relationship. Just DO NOT pressure her to break up, she will hate you forever haha

Good Luck dude!Any advice would be amazing 10 points best answer?
Sounds as though she likes much older men. What do her parents think about her dating this guy? Or do they know?

Just let her know that you'll be there for her as a friend, and keep making other friends and pay attention to some other girls while she is seeing this guy.

Edit - sorry I thought I read you were in junior high school - sounds like a middle school question.
Why dont you try just being her friend. the guy she is dating will probably dump her soon.

Dont tell her how you feel, just treat her like a friend and nothing more. Talk to her like you would your guys friends, just be respectful to her. Dont bad talk her BF ever, just listen to what she has to say and think before you respond.

Go the friend way first, then someday when you two are sitting alone somewhere talking, try and give her a kiss. dont rush this though, take your time and get to know her and she can get to know you.

    Good Luck
Ok, if I read this right you and this girl are both Juniors and her boyfriend is a Senior so he will be going off to college soon and she will be free next year. Take your time.
Do you guys talk often? Do you know if she really likes this guy? If she really likes him and believes its love I think it's best to wait. On the other hand if you're sure it's not love maybe let her know you like her. And if she likes you back, it can be something more :) Good luck %26lt;3
you should wait until they break up. if you tell her now, you could cause some conflict in her relationship right now.

to get to know her better, talk to her more, find out about her interests. if her bf is cool w/ her hanging out w/ other guys, then hang out w/ her. just be a good friend to her.

    best of luck :)
If you tell her it will make things weird for your friendship. I think that you should txt her and see how things go out side of school and in time where her bf is older they prob will brake up giving you the chance to date her. But don't wait for her to be single you should go out and have fun, find some other girls that you might like in the end this girl you like now may not be all that great you could miss out on a good opportunity to meet some one great.
why in the world is she dating a senior?!

    But whateva.

Wait til they break up. He is older than you so it probably wont last long. So just wait, its going to be over soon :D

Please can you also lend them books that would teach them about earning respect rather than buying success and thinking its the same as earning it.
Didnt it win an award for being the thinnest book in the World?
    bolton 2-1
Come on Bolton do us a big favour 2-1
They don't need that book, as two premier league trophies, and a couple of cups isn't successuful
I find it hard to believe that such a book exists - is this not a case of pot calling kettle black or more accurately smug, arrogant fan criticising another for same faults?! I've not noticed Man U fans being so perfect over the years (and no I don't support Chelsea!). Having said that, I fully expect Man U to win the Premiership this year and like many others will be glad if Chelsea don't!

Bertrand Russell once advised, ';I should like to say two things: one intellectual and one moral. The intellectual thing I should want to say to them is this: 'When you are studying any matter, or considering any philosophy, ask yourself only, 'What are the facts, and what is the truth that the facts bear out?' Never let yourself by diverted by what you wish to believe or by what you think would have beneficial social effects if it were believed; but look only and solely at what are the facts.' That is the intellectual thing I should wish to say. The moral thing I should wish to say to them is very simple. I should say, 'Love is wise; hatred is foolish.' In this world which is getting more and more closely interconnected, we have to learn to tolerate each other. We have to learn to put up with the fact that some people say things that we don't like. We can only live together in that way. If we are to live together and not die together, we must learn the kind of charity and a kind of tolerance which is absolutely vital to the continuation of human life on this planet.';If you could chose one piece of advice for everyone in the world to follow, what would it be?

I need some advice on what cellphone will be good for a senior who has never used one before.?

I believe the best way to go is get the phones that are given to kids by parents. Check with your carrier. Usually the ones with huge key pad. Very user friendly phones. Check all your local carriers by going online and if you like something purchase it online or through the store.

You can give any cell phone as now it doesnt matter whether the person has used any phone before or not. All phones are easy to work with. However if you insist, Nokia supernova(7210) will be a goo ophone to start off with. It has good features as well. Else go for LG Dynamite.I need some advice on what cellphone will be good for a senior who has never used one before.?

I want to move to England from the US. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!?

I am facing several dilemmas. I have tried to inquire about jobs and housing online, but have met a lot of dead-ends. Mostly because I'm not sure where to look. I'm not sure which cities are better than others in terms of low crime or moderate pricing. I just don't know where to start. Maybe making some friends would help! I appreciate any suggestions, and please feel free to email me directly if you like. Thanks. :) I know this question/statement is very vague. Sorry.I want to move to England from the US. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!?
Once you've done all the things suggested about, have a look on

If you type in a full postcode (assuming you've found some jobs/ houses you like) then this will tell you everything you need to know about that area, including deprivation, crime, people, education etc.

Also think about where you currently live... For example, I currently live on the South Coast and know I'd rather live near a beach than in a big city... Have a look on google earth etc to gibe you ideas of how close stuff is. Don't necessarily go with places you've heard of- there's lots of great places to live!I want to move to England from the US. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!?

You should really say what you want out of moving to the UK....big city? culture? rural?...........what skills have you got to offer....you will have to realise that your standard of living may be lower in some areas of life (but better in others)

I am based in Essex, near East london, and work in Central London.

if you have any specific queries, drop me a line essexfriendly@yahoo.co.uk
If you do manage to get over here i would recomend to live in Cardiff which is in Wales (which is next to England and still is in the UK as the UK consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Northen Ireland which some people just dont see to get). Lots of new shopping centres are opening and new offices are being built everywhere.
E-mail me your vital statistics and I'll pass them onto my mates and you can probably hook up with one of them-cities available are Liverpool,Manchester,Brighton,Leeds and quite a few in London.;-)
Monster .co.uk for Jobs, Findaproperty.co.uk for houses,

All Cities Here have crime problems, stay on the out-skirts

It's cheaper %26amp; safer Generaly the nearer you get to London The Higher The Price Of Housing But the Better the Wage, If You Have A Particular Skill Then Around London is the place there are much better Job op's
How fantastic! Working in another country is a great experience. If I were you I would start off looking at it as a temporary thing, just to try it out and see how you like it. As you said you don't really know much about the country itself so it's better to get a general idea of what the country is like rather than jumping in at the deep end.

As you said your question is rather vague, you haven't provided much detail on your age (in case of you being a student) or education. There are many different types of visa available but it depends on your circumstances. Have a look at this website to find out more. http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/content鈥?/a>

In regards to which places to live, that really depends on what you want. A small town? A big city? London is a good start but very expensive. Have you thought about Scotland at all? Edinburgh is a great city to work in. Many Americans work there, in fact it's very popular internationally.

Have you thought about taking a vacation here first to find out what it's all about?

    I hope this helps,

    Good luck to you!
claim asylum. you get free house, car and a grand a week to live off. ive just moved from uk to canada, wouldnt go back, its too bloody exspensive to live there compared to N.america.
i would advise visiting first to look around , make contacts and ask proffesionals to get an idea of an area you like and prices, crime etc. dont dive in with little knowledge
Come to South Africa instead! We accept them all! Why go to a country that is so friggin fussy? In SA we have everything to suit your needs baby!!!
Which part of England ??? High crime/no-go areas are generally to be found in larger towns and cities. Avoid (if you can afford it ) areas of poor education, poor housing, and low expectations. There are many areas I could mention ( but I will not). Aim for areas that have aspirations, avoid Graffiti estates, It is all about money and education. `Moderate`prices will mean, away from London and the Home Counties, where prices are generally anything but `moderate`. There are many modern developments on the fringes of London, where flats, smaller apartments, and `first-time` buyers can get a foot in the door, but NEVER cheap!! Generally speaking , the more desirable the vicinity, the higher the price. Employment is not difficult if you have something someone needs.
I'll do a swap with you if you like - i'd love to live in the states!!!!
Do you have a job offer? Once you do, unless your specialty job is so unique that no one in the UK or any of the entire EU nations cannot fill, then maybe, you might get a work permit.

    Otherwise you can forget it.

It is not that easy to just 'move' to the UK. Will you have the proper residency papers?

Basically - you have no recourse to public funds or employment.. that is stated on your passport stamp when you enter the country.

If you really want to move to the UK. I suggest you come here for a visit first. From the sounds of it, you haven't the faintest idea where the major cities and towns are!
Don't bother it is to over-growded here there is about 60 million people living here and its is such a small island. Europe is a much better options for example Belguim has only 10 million residents.
My advice: don't bother. Why should we let you into our country when you won't let us into yours?
i cant give you any advise ,but good luck any way
Do you have any qualifications to offer? Things are getting tighter re moving to UK, I think its like Mexico and the US.
DO NOT COME HERE!!! England sucks real bad, i dont see why anyone would want to come here, the people are RACIST, they are rude, the weathers bad, really bad... i've lived here all my life and i've had enough, its a depressing place to be, i cant wait to leave this crappy country.

There are lots of other countries which are far greater than England.
I will be your friend x
Wtf would you want to move to England first of all? The US has a far better standard of living and less crime, litter, etc., unless you happen to live in the Bronx maybe. Best idea would be to check out as much as you can before making the decision.

An idea for the job market is the link below, but don't know if you'd be entitled to apply to them but its useful info.
Depending on you age you can get a student work visa. I think it's up to age 30. it's about 1000$ and it allows you to work in england for 6-12 months. They also help with finding housing and jobs. The jobs are pretty much just at pubs and restuarants but at least you can get your foot in the door! I did this program in australia a few years ago and it was amazing!
why England try Scotland more friendly less crime more oil more wealth better scenery
