I going to be a freshman in a couple days, advice please?

i know i shouldnt be worried but for some reason, i am. i just keep thinking ';i cant belive im in high school';. is there any way to calm my self down. im also shy and its hard for me to make friends.I going to be a freshman in a couple days, advice please?
I'm a junior in high school and depending on what school you are going to, high school is a lot bigger and more crowded... you also have to do a lot more to get good attention from teachers...work harder and get good grades...because you NEED teachers to be on your good side because they are the ones who write recommendations for college. Use the first week of school to make friends, talk to the people who sit next to you in classes because most people don't know each other and its easier to make friends that way... remember that most everyone in nervous and excited so don't be afraid to show it.. also don't rely on others to start conversations because they usually don't... just remember to make friends during the first few weeks because once the first month passes its harder because everyone knows each other by then..and the worst part it so become a freshman outcast..harsh reality...but trust me...you will be fine and you will love high school its a great opportunity and take full advantage of it! good luck!!!

High school isn't the way a lot of people portray it, or at least the ones I've seen aren't. I'm a junior in high school so I know from experience that it's not this big scary place where people are just waiting to pick on the freshman. Just be yourself and be friendly towards everyone. Talk to the people who sit next to you in class. Also, make small talk with the people who have lockers around you. Those are the two easiest ways to make friends. Just remember, you're not the only freshman who is nervous about high school, so if there aren't many people starting conversation with you, you should be the one to go up and talk to them. In a couple of days you're going to be wondering why you were ever nervous about high school. Just keep an open mind and be nice to people, you'll make friends in no time. Good luck!
Don't be nervous just hang with the guys u hung with in Middle school and I know all ur oals might not be in the same classes with u but u r ushually in classes that r the same age as u so u are going 2 know sum1. But the first day is always hard cuz sumtimes u can't find classes r get ur locker open but it is nothing 2 panic about it just relax and u will be find trust me.
high school isn't even that bad.

I think it's much better than middle school.

Seriously, you have nothing to worry about.

Just picture it as a new school with some

of your middle school friends.

[cause not all your friends are going to the same high school]

it's pretty cool.

%26amp; don't be scared to make new friends.

While your in class just talk to the people that sit

around you. That's pretty much it.

You'll have friends in no time.
Shy is not always a bad thing. I tend to be shy til i know the person. Teachers really like it if your shy like you won't talk over them but youl participate in discussions.

Im pregnant and I need a lotion to avoid strech marks anyone have any advice as to which products are good?

and where i can find them?Im pregnant and I need a lotion to avoid strech marks anyone have any advice as to which products are good?
dont just use regular cocoa butter lotion. Use Palmers Pregnancy lotion. it has alot of vitamin E in it and the other ingredients that help prevent strech marks. i use it on my stomach %26amp; i havnt got a strech mark yet %26amp; im 30 weeks. it can be found at any sore pretty much. google it so you can see what the bottle looks likeIm pregnant and I need a lotion to avoid strech marks anyone have any advice as to which products are good?
I've used Palmers CoCo Butter with Elastic in it my entire pregnancy (I'm 34 weeks) and have no stretch marks thus far although when I first got pregnant I only used it on my belly not thinking about my breast's and thighs getting larger too and the results, my breast's and thighs have stretch marks while my tummy has none. Stretch marks werent genetic in my family my mother and my grandmother didnt get any while pregnant. It worked for me just remember to use it all over because your tummy isnt the only thing that's gonna be getting lager.. Congrats!
cocoa butter

IDK if it is that i am just lucky but so far at 30 weeks i have no marks yet and i use it everyday b4 bed ';Thats when you grow';

all i got is vains! and i was 110 Before i got pregnant And am pretty huge :)
palmers tummy butter. I would use the butter not lotion. use it every morning and everynight. I am prone to streatch marks and havn't gotton any yet! You can get them at maternity stores, wall mart, and babys R us. Good luck!
well, stretch marks are actually genetic...so if your destined to get them , you are gonna get them no matter what. but any lotion with vitamin e, cocoa butter, or shea butter in it will help a little, which any little bit matters.
Truth of the matter is stretch marks are going to happen whether you bathe in lotion or not if you are genetically inclined to get them. Nothing prevents them. I'm sorry.
There is major correlation between stretch marks and pregnancy. It is in your genes. Look to your mom to see what your stretch marks will look like. I put Palmer's on 3 - 4 times a day and always before bed and I have them horribly bad, just like my mom's!
I used Palmer's cocoa butter specially made to help prevent stretch marks and STILL got them. I used it religiously too... If you're gonna get them, you're going to get them. Lotion does help a lot with itching though.
A lot of my friends used Bio-Oil and absolutely swear by it so that's what I'm using too.

I really wanna be a bartender when i graduate for hs! where/how should i start?!? any advice?

and i already checked the age u need to be to be a bartender in my state and its 18 and im already 18 so yeaa....

where should i start?

bartending school or no? y?

any advice?! thanks for ur help! =)I really wanna be a bartender when i graduate for hs! where/how should i start?!? any advice?
DON';T go to bartending school, a total and complete waste of time and money, and all it really does is give you a worthless piece of paper that FALSELY proclaims that you're now a qualified bartender, which these graduates are anything but. And I am endlessly stunned by the haughtiness and holier-than-thou attitude displayed by your average bartending school graduate. HELLO!!! It's not like you've earned a college degree here! It's not like you're now intellectually on par with a rocket scientist. I can't count the number of times I've watched a ';graduate'; get behind the bar for the first time, and wind up getting totally smoked and snuffed by the patrons and onslaught of a moderate sized crowd, all while begging me for answers to ';how do you make this drink'; or ';how do you make that drink';?. Stop wasting my time dammit.

First, get a job as a barback and look, listen, and learn. Or, for a female, cocktail waitressing is another easy way to gain experience, especially if your bartender is willing to teach you a bit, plus, as a barback or cocktail waitress, instead of wasting your money on a completely worthless certificate whose value is only one grade up from toilet paper, you'll be earning a decent income as you learn. While on the job, absorb as much information as you can from the bartenders you are working for, and ask questions, as time allows. Get a few good bartending books, read and try to memorize the more commonly requested cocktails in your area, and also the classic types. Beware--for lots of drinks, 10 different bartending books will give you 10 different cocktail recipes (try looking up Mai Tai in a few and you'll see what I mean)--so don't freak out. Another weird thing, I was bartending in the FL Keys for 20 years, and I dealt with a lot of international tourists and tourists from all over the U.S., and (don't freak out here either) the same drink with the same name will be made completely differently where they (the tourist) is coming from. For instance, a european martini is far different than an american martini, so if I was asked for a martini by someone with a european accent, I'd have to stop and clarify it with them (60 to 100 years ago, the american and eurpoean martinis were exactly the same, not so anymore). A hick coming outta South Dakota will insist that his Tom Collins is red and has grenadine in it, and yes, that is in fact what you get when you order a Tom Collins in SD. I now call that one a Sven %26amp; Ole Collins (because a Tom Collins it surely isn't). And that's just the tip of that iceberg. Bartending is far and away more art than science, there are very few 'right' answers--some right answers, but not a lot. Get used to that.

Bartending school will try to teach you the science, little of the art. And bartending school graduates will of course tell you how great the experiance was for them, and how much better of a bartender they are versus the non-schooled bartender (that holier-than-thou thing I mentioned earlier, simply because they cannot intellectually digest the fact that they have flushed $500 to $1000 of their money down the toilet. And you'd better be a people person, someone that people want to talk too, and you HAVE to talk to them, whether you want to or not. And patience--you MUST have a well of patience 100 feet deep or more.

In summary, artending schools are a waste. Get yourself a job as a barback or cocktail waitress, buy a coupla good bartending books (yes, they same drink will have different ingredients in different books--don't freak out), learn the standard drinks, learn your regional favorites (they vary greatly), and do it yourself. It ain't rocket science. Here's a little secret: real bartenders snicker and laugh behind the backs of bartending school graduates. I mean puh-leeze, get a life. .

Also, don't just learn at work. DO YOUR HOMEWORK, which of course happens at HOME.I really wanna be a bartender when i graduate for hs! where/how should i start?!? any advice?
In the US most states i believe will let you bartend at the age of 18, but most places won't let you.Depending on your state you may need a liscence. Best to check with you states regulation dept. first, because the bartending classes are expensive. I live in FL. were you do not need to go to school. I have bartended for over ten years, and here at least they are looked as a joke. In reality, you wont be able to bartend right out of high school. Most employers want experience. A good idea for you would be to look for a job as a barback in a night club or popular bar. Barbacks basically get all the ice and bottles. It's a great way to pay your dues, plus you will get and learn the expience you need to bartend. They money should be alright. So in case you do have to go to school you already have a knowledge of what to do and a little money to pay for it.

How to create a strategy for remembering how allowed/aloud and advice/advise should be used.I need strategys for remembering how allowed/aloud and advice/advise should be used?
Aloud has the word ';loud'; in it, and its when your speaking and you could be speaking loudly.

Advise = to give helpful suggestions. It has an ';s'; in it, and self starts with an ';s'; and self is the one giving the suggestions (I am giving the suggestions, not recieving them).

Advice: a helpful suggestion. I remember this one b/c it has a ';C'; in it and coches give advice to their teams.

Hope this was helpful.I need strategys for remembering how allowed/aloud and advice/advise should be used?
You just need something for 1 of each pair...so if you can remember these...it should help. Look at the caps in the following:

    LOUD...is aLOUD

    Counselor's give adviCe
Aloud is dealing with sound and Allowed is dealing with rules.

    I spoke aloud.

I am not allowed to speak.

Advice is something you give and Advise is something you do.

She gave me advice about the test.

I advised her to take the test.
aloud-when u say something aloud, it is loud

Im sorry, but I dont no how to help with the others. May I suggest writing the definition on ur hand....JK

I think we both want the same thing

    we have talked about it

any help will be welcomeGuys and girls help. I'm going to be in an empty house with my girlfriend tomorow any advice?
Well yous will know when the time is right. When it is just be gentle and kiss alot before it actually happens. It'll be more comfortable then oh and of course use protection!Guys and girls help. I'm going to be in an empty house with my girlfriend tomorow any advice?
When you have sex, a chemical called ';oxytocin'; is released in your body. This chemical is a neuro-peptide that causes emotional bonding and impairs critical thinking and memory (including those of past negative experiences). Recent studies have also shown that oxytocin increases trust.

In short, this chemical is binding and blinding.

Once you start having sex, it will be harder and harder to stop. If you two eventually end up breaking up (after having sex) your hurt will be magnified due to this chemical bonding. And because estrogen increases the oxytocin response, it will hurt your girlfriend worse than you.

Just something to think about. You are risking causing yourself a lot of hurt in the long run (not to mention risk of STD's, pregnancy, the physical problems she will have later in life if she's on the pill, etc)

But if you think it's worth it...
IF you guys talked about being alone in the house then you shouldnt be sooo scared, but if you guys didnt plan it then dont do anything crazy, and dont get her pregnant. If i were you i would not go all the way, you are only 16. Just go rent like five movies and just cuddle up on the couch or sometin. just be cool and mature!
you6 16, you don't know what love is.

you will regret it later in life if you do anything with her. Trust me, been there done that. and not just me, everyone I know that did something too early in their life. And yes, 16 is too early.
make sure U have a condom....and....it sounds like ur excited so get two or three

I'm trying to be faithful to my bae but i cant can somebody give me some advice on what to do?

k i'm in love with two guys but i need to be faithful to the first one but i cant because of the second one. how must i explain to the second one that i have a next boyfriend?I'm trying to be faithful to my bae but i cant can somebody give me some advice on what to do?
Figure out which one you love the most and break it off with the other. It's not fair to them.

Be completely honest with them both. After they know what you've been doing, they may not want you back. To make any relationship work, there must be total honesty.

It's their decision whether they want to continue the relationship just as much as it is yours.

I'm trying to be faithful to my bae but i cant can somebody give me some advice on what to do?
Why do you need to be faithful to the first one? Are you his wife? Are you engaged to him? If not, then you don't need to be faithful to anyone but yourself!
just tell each they will have to share and if they cant then you cant be with neither of them...you can work it out and have fun with both maybe even at the same time together...
You just need to decide what you want and who you love. I really hope one of them cheats on you and gives you the clap or herpes or something!
KARMA ...has a way of coming back and slapping you in the face !!! your not in love with two men your just greedy =) just tell him simple !!
